Components and working principle of high pressure common rail test stand

The high pressure common rail system consists of five parts, namely high pressure oil pump, common rail cavity and high pressure tubing, injector, electronic control unit, various sensors and actuators. The fuel supply pump feeds the fuel pump into the inlet of the high-pressure oil pump from the fuel tank, and the high-pressure oil pump driven by the engine pressurizes the fuel into the common rail cavity, and then the solenoid valve controls the fuel injection of each cylinder at the corresponding time. Through the pressure regulating solenoid valve on the high-pressure oil pump, the oil pressure in the common rail cavity can be flexibly adjusted according to the requirements of engine load condition, economy and emission, especially optimizing the low-speed performance of the engine.

 

The high pressure common rail system USES a large volume common rail cavity to store the high pressure fuel output from the oil pump and eliminate the pressure fluctuation in the fuel, and then transfers to each injector. The injection can be started and terminated by controlling the solenoid valve on the injector.
